JHWalter LLP has welcomed new Managing Partner, John Elliott who has taken over the reins from Tim Atkinson.
Tim, who has been at the helm for the past three years, will remain as a senior partner at the firm, focusing on the rural practice and farm sales.
Commenting on his appointment John said: “I am honoured to be taking on the role of managing partner and very much look forward to working with my fellow partners and colleagues as we continue to grow JHWalter to meet the exciting challenges of the years ahead.
“Tim Atkinson hands over the reins of a firm that is performing extremely well and is in a strong position to meet the needs of clients seeking strategic property and business advice across the region.
“We continue to invest in the best people so we can continue to deliver our long established services in Property, Business, Planning and Energy.”
John Elliott became a partner in 2010 and is a chartered surveyor who will continue to manage the valuation and commercial agency departments of JHWalter, while concentrating his own agency focus on development opportunities.

The firm has also welcomed a number of new team members.
Returning to his home county, Trevor Williams has joined the team as a senior rural surveyor from Norfolk County Council.
He will be working with the rural team focusing on rural estate management, Landlord and Tenants rent reviews, environmental schemes, land agency and valuation matters.
William Gaunt has joined to strengthen the commercial team working alongside managing partner, John Elliott.

Re-joining the planning team as planning consultant is Alistair Anderson who completed a successful “year in industry” with JHWalter.
Prior to achieving a first in his honours degree in Planning & Development at Nottingham Trent University, Alistair worked as an undergraduate Planning Assistant with the firm during a placement year as part of his degree.
Managing Partner, John Elliott added: “The new appointments bring a wide depth of respected expertise and will not only boost the practice but will benefit the business as a whole.
“The firm is acting on a number of significant projects resulting in the need to strengthen the team.
“These new recruits bring with them a wealth of experience and, supported by the current skills of JHWalter teams, will enhance the service we are able to offer and will serve our clients well. We are delighted to have secured their services.”
