Boulder Developments is set to launch a new self-storage business at its five-acre business park in Lincoln.

Boulder, the family business which owns SuperFOIL Insulation and Ventilation Megastore, purchased the site of the former Lincolnshire Co-op Food Distribution Centre on Pioneer Way in Lincoln earlier this year.

The site is now the headquarters for all three companies and will soon also be the home of Boulder Storage.

Since Boulder Developments acquired the site, web development agency Orisel has also relocated its offices to the business park, where more companies are expected to be set up in the coming weeks.

Boulder Storage offers secure warehouse storage, office space, fenced parking for caravans and trailers as well as fenced and locked container storage on an active business site. The company has invested in a high level of security to keep clients property safe and its services are available for a range of periods.

The new self-storage business is expected to create a number of new jobs at the site and provide a safe and secure storage location in the city for people across the area.

Director of Boulder Developments, William Bown said: “We’re really pleased to be bringing new life back to this important location in the city of Lincoln with our new business opening here. Since we acquired this site, we’ve created several new jobs and we have exciting plans to generate more employment in this area in the coming months.

“The former food distribution centre was a huge, vacant site when we purchased it, but we’re transforming it into a real hub for growing businesses. We’re making good use of every part of the site which is helping all of the businesses here to grow, create jobs and opportunities.

“Self-storage is a great service to be able to offer the people of Lincoln, whether it’s a caravan, outdoor furniture, boxes of old photos or family heirlooms, who doesn’t have belongings that are taking up space in their homes? Now, we’re providing people with a place where they can securely store all their items at an affordable price, just a short drive from the city centre. We’re also helping other businesses in the area with office space and warehouse storage; which could be perfect for startups, small manufacturers or suppliers as well as businesses that need to stockpile product ahead of Brexit.”

Prices vary according to size and duration of the storage period. Self storage caravan and trailer parking is available for £65-£120 per month and containers can be hired for £100-£120 per month. Warehouse storage is available for £2-£3 per pallet per week.

Storage periods of between one and 12 months are available. Containers are brand new, watertight and keycode locked for security.

Office space hire includes 1GB broadband, air conditioning, meeting space and the use of shared facilities including a secure server room and a central meeting room.
