Take a tour of Rand Farm Park’s new day nursery

A brand new day nursery and pre-school at Rand Farm Park has now officially opened.

Work started earlier this year at the Market Rasen park, which saw the nursery fully integrated with the park, utilising the space and play areas at the attraction to create a ‘unique, rural educational environment’.

Alongside the day nursery, Rand Farm Park comprises a number of buildings including the playbarn, farmhouse, various barns/sheds, a café, shop, office and classroom.

The Rand Farm Park Day Nursery is now OPEN! 🎉🎉Here’s a sneak peek whilst we were putting the finishing touches together… before the children took over! 👼

The new nursery is situated in an existing farmhouse at the far eastern end of the Farm Park and children will have daily visits to Rand Farm Park, as well as hands on animal experiences.

Working in partnership with experts at Kids Play Childcare, the new nursery will deliver child-centred teaching through the business’ planning in the moment ethos, which supports children’s natural desire to explore and learn alongside the fun and experiences available across the farm park.

The nursery also includes a slide from the first floor of the house into a private, secure garden for the children to play in.

The day nursery includes:

  • Baby Room
 – The Baby Room offers a safe and stimulating environment, which uses sound, colour and touch to encourage the babies to explore their ‘second home’. Staff will mirror the feeding routines, nappy changes and sleep routines used at home and will supply all nappies, wipes, and formula milk free of charge.
  • Toddler Room
 (2-3 years) –
More structured than the Baby Room, every activity in the Toddler Room is considered a fun learning opportunity. Toddlers are encouraged to enjoy early maths, develop their language skills, participate in creative play and learn to relax at story time. Staff will also work closely with parents to complement toilet training
  • Pre-School Room
 – The aim within the Pre-School will be to ensure that all children are confident and ready for mainstream school. A child’s time to be full of learning experiences, split between the Pre-School, the garden, farm and the local community.

Situated just off the A158 Lincoln to Skegness road, the nursery will be open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 6.30pm.
