Business Lincolnshire has announced the return of its annual #GoDigital Conference on November 21, 2019 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Lincoln.

The theme for this year’s half day, fully funded event is ‘Digital Tools and Tricks for Transformation’, with the focus very much on practical content that you can take away and instantly put to use.

A blend of keynote speeches, case studies, panel discussions and workshop sessions awaits you, delivered by engaging and talented experts in the digital field.

Google European masterclass trainer and founder of the Digital Boost Academy, Simon McCaskill, will host the event and alongside being a keynote speaker, challenging you to improve your decision making to future proof your business and to disrupt yourself in the pursuit of success.

He will reset the way you think, provide an insight into key future technologies you need to be aware of and enable you to start making better choices which will lead to your future success.

Attendees will also hear from Lincolnshire-based Waldeck Consulting on the journey it’s encountered over the past few years to turn the business from a traditional engineering consultancy into a ‘technology enabled’ one.

There will be the opportunity to attend three interactive workshop sessions during the morning, with nine topics to select from, as follows:

  • Micro-moments and their importance to the digital environment
    • Presenters: James Heywood, Creative Marketing Manager and Zoe King, Director & Senior Web Developer, Epix Media
    • Micro-moments occur when people instinctively turn to their mobile devices to explore, discover, research and buy. Think of all those times when you whip out your phone to “Google” something, be it checking prices or asking a question. Those are micro-moments. And in these moments, consumers’ expectations are higher than ever. We’ve all been trained to expect brands to immediately deliver exactly what we are looking for, when we are looking.
    • In this talk, you’ll learn how to identify and anticipate your consumers’ micro-moments and discover how to utilise them to create seamless online customer experiences.
  • Designing I4.0 solutions for your business
    • Presenter: Eliseo Vilalta-Perdomo, Associate Professor and Programme Leader, Department of Strategy and Enterprise, University of Lincoln
    • This hands-on workshop shows how to conceive digital solutions that link your goods and/or services with potential markets. We will explore how to transform your current dream into a ‘digital project’. Clear project descriptions are the first step to make our business ideas accessible to potential customers, funders, software developers and technologists.
  • Tactics for selling online
    • Presenter: Richard Hill, CEO & Founder, SEO Traffic Lab & eComOne
    • Building a website and going live to the world can be quite straight forward with all the different website platforms that are now available to business owners. However … making that store/site generate consistent leads or deliver regular sales is a whole other factor!
    • In this talk, Richard will share the tactics his clients and agencies use to increase conversions on any website and increase visibility in the Google index almost overnight. The workshop will be fast-paced as Richard runs through many simple strategies to increase leads and sales on any website.
  • How to fail fast

Please note Business Lincolnshire is only able to offer up to two places per company. To qualify for this funded support, your organisation must be a small to medium enterprise (SME) based in Greater Lincolnshire.

Am I eligible?

The conference is available for businesses, partnerships, sole traders and registered charities, with a trading address located within Greater Lincolnshire.

To access the event, you must complete an SME enrolment form in order to check your business’ eligibility against the funding criteria. The form will be sent to you on completion of an Eventbrite booking – if one has not already been completed and on file.
