CityX took five minutes out of the busy schedule to speak to Jason Kay, Chief Executive Officer at LiveLead Ltd, to find out more about his business, how 2019 has been and his plans for 2020:

Jason, tell us about the business, what is it you do?

“We give businesses access to those opportunities that are never advertised.

“We don’t provide mailing lists but have instead developed a bespoke online system built on massive data and over 13 million contract opportunities for practically any type of business.”

When was the business formed and how has that changed over the years?

“We started in 2016 as “The Marketplace”, and we have changed significantly since then.

“We secured £250,000 investment and rebranded to LiveLead in 2019 which was our best year ever.”

How has your industry changed over time?

“We don’t really have an industry as we work with most business types.

“Our industry in a sense is Sales and by introducing “Saletech” we are changing the way businesses fill their pipeline and secure new work.”

What are your future plans for the business?

“We’re working on an amazing new product for the property sector, and we have more features being added to the current range of products.

“2020 is going to be massive.”

What do you think the future holds for your industry?

“It’s time to change.

“Technology and the way people do business is changing very quickly and only those that adapt to new ways of working will survive.

“It’s a digital age.”

Tell us a bit about how the business has done in 2019?

“2019 has been transformational for us.

“I often talk about “levelling up” which basically means keep improving and we have certainly done that!”

What are your proudest moments within the business in 2019?

“I have to say winning the “Innovation in Property & Construction” award at the Lincolnshire Technology + Innovation Awards 2019 was my proudest moment as you can see from the photo!”

What can customers expect from the business in 2020?

“Our customers can expect to be able to choose the best opportunities out there that are the most profitable, and least hassle from a full LiveLead sales pipeline.”

What are your goals for 2020?

“As an SME business, our biggest challenge is promoting our service countrywide so that has to be our no1 goal.”

How do you plan to achieve the goals you have set out?

“We’re currently working with the team at Distract, so they have the biggest challenge!

“It’s also one thing to gain clients, it’s another to ensure your customer service and products are good enough to keep them.

“We will be working with our developers to ensure we keep the system operating at speed and keep adding features that improve the customer experience.
