Kickstart your business journey with Featured’s support

This story is over

Startup businesses and entrepreneurs in the East Midlands are to be given the chance to pitch for funding and support to help them reach their potential and grow, thanks to business incubator, Featured.

The concept is simple; Featured is offering experts in senior positions of organisations an opportunity to quit their job and start their own business while being supported and mentored along the way.

Featured was founded by Peter Watson and Bradley McKenny after finding success with digital marketing agency, Distract. The pair started on a business journey that has taken them from an idea to a successful business.

Using the lessons that they learned along the way, they created Featured to offer their backing and support to budding entrepreneurs in the East Midlands who have yet to break ground on their own business plans.

Peter Watson, Managing Director of Featured, said: “We’re looking for innovators and disruptors who have a great idea.

“This could be a brand new product or an amazing set of skills you want to build up into a flourishing business, but haven’t had the chance to yet. We’re taking away the risk involved with getting started in business, allowing entrepreneurs to get on with growing their ideas.”

Successful applicants will get:

Their current salary matched and guaranteed
Access to a marketing budget
Legal support
Accounting support
Expert business advice

Bradley McKenny, Operations Director of Featured, said: “It’s great to be able to find ourselves in a position where we can offer a helping hand to those who can’t afford to take the risk of quitting a job to start their own venture. Some of the best business ideas likely never come to fruition because people simply weren’t able to take the plunge.

“This is your chance to make a mark.”

Peter added: “We’re really looking forward to seeing the kinds of businesses that come forward and it’d be great to support them and help them grow. There is so much opportunity out there at the moment there for the taking.”
