Lincoln heritage sites announce closures following Corona Virus

Lincoln heritage sites have announced closures following Covid-19 outbreak concerns.

March 18 saw the closures of Lincoln castle, the Usher Gallery, The Collection, Museum of Lincolnshire Life, Gainsborough Old Hall and the Lincolnshire Archives.

In addition at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor centre, run in partnership with the RAF, access to the planes was closed to the public on March 17 with full closure the of Visitor Centre commencing March 18.

These heritage sites are among other city attractions of which have temporarily closed until further notice in attempts reduce the spread of the virus following the Prime Ministers speech on March 16, advising people to stop attending bars, theatres and social venues.

These sites are among many other popular attractions in Lincoln which have taken action, including Tattershall Castle, New Theatre Royal, which has temporarily postponed productions and Kinema In The Woods which has announced its closure will begin on March 22.
