LincolnX Featured: Distract – Empowering brands, influencing audiences

This week’s LincolnX Featured member is Distract, a Lincoln-based digital marketing agency.

What started out as ‘Chatty Imp’, a social media agency in 2015, has since gone on to rebrand as ‘Distract’, offering paid search, paid social and digital PR services as well as an in-house creative team that encompasses web design and development.

Managing Director, Peter Watson, said: “Distract has grown massively in the last few years.

“We’ve got an incredible team here, and we’ve recently moved into a new, expansive office which has given us plenty of room to grow.”

Distract have seen a great start to the new year, with new clients including the University of Lincoln and Cooper Parry.

Peter continued: “In the last few months, we’ve also partnered with global crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube, as a recommended PR agency.

Towards the end of the month, the business has big keynote speeches coming up, including the B2B Marketing Expo in London, which will see Peter sharing the stage with the likes of Microsoft and Twitter.

Peter and business partner Bradley McKenny also recently opened applications for entrepreneurs to apply for funding through their business incubator, Featured.

Entrepreneurs and startup businesses in the East Midlands can pitch their business idea to receive funding and support, as well as a guaranteed salary to help get their business off the ground and reach their potential.

Peter concluded: “The business community in the city is expanding at pace and we’re more connected than ever before and we’re looking forward to working with more local and regional brands as they come into the city.”
