Lincoln-based property developer, Stirlin, have submitted a planning application for their new headquarters in Saxilby.
To be located on Stirlin’s existing Riverside Enterprise Park development, the building will propose generous workshop space for plant machinery servicing, display areas for machinery sales and an external forecourt with machinery testing facilities.
The application to West Lindsey District Council seeks planning consent for a 5,000 sq ft office facility, and will act as the company’s new headquarters providing accommodation for all companies within the Stirlin Group.
The Group includes their plant machinery division, Stirlin Plant, their residential property division, Homes by Stirlin and their commercial property division, Stirlin Developments.
Due to significant growth since their dealership agreement with global brand, Wacker Neuson, the new building and yard will provide a 63% increase in accommodation for Stirlin Plant.
Lee Hodgkins, Plant Manager for Stirlin Plant, says “We’re delighted to have been involved in the design of Stirlin Group’s new premises.
“The building will provide much-needed space to facilitate our company’s expansion plan, as we have outgrown our current premises on Stirlin’s development on Sadler Road in Lincoln.
The generous yard and workshop space will mean that we can offer a higher volume of services and the display area will allow us to showcase the range of innovative plant machinery that we have at our disposal.”
The first floor of the new building will also provide open plan office space, meeting rooms and ancillary spaces for Stirlin Developments and Homes by Stirlin.
The site location on Riverside Enterprise Park is within close proximity to Stirlin’s completed Saxilby Enterprise Park development and their recently consented Enterprise West Lindsey site.
The building will benefit from a prominent position, running parallel with the A57 trunk road which is passed by in excess of 15,000 vehicles daily.
James Kirby, Managing Director of Stirlin Group says “We are so excited to have submitted planning for our new headquarters.
“Due to the residential site and various commercial sites that we are developing in the area, the location makes perfect sense for us.
“We are also committed to providing new local services such as the footpath between Saxilby village and our Saxilby Enterprise Park development.”
“The consolidation of facilities will allow the Group of companies to share staff and resources in a new ‘hub’ working environment – an idea that has been successfully developed and trialled with our team throughout the pandemic.
“We are very much looking forward to the new opportunities that this new premises will bring to the Stirlin Group if planning approval is granted.”
