From Wednesday October 28th through to Saturday 31st, visitors can join the virtual festival online via the Visit Lincoln Facebook Page and take part in a variety of family-fun activities.
Visitors can watch cooking demonstrations from award winning chefs, download and follow recipes and take part in a cooking competition, sharing photos to win prizes daily.
Award-winning local Lincolnshire chef Darren Rogan will be sharing top tips on how to cook the perfect Lincolnshire sausage, along with other sausage recipes in partnership with LIVES for their Sausage Supper campaign.
Lincolnshire’s celebrity chef, author and TV presenter Rachel Green will be giving away 5 signed copies of her latest recipe book for the best sausage dish.
Invite the children into the kitchen and learn to make your own sausage rolls with chef Daisy, from Cross Keys Stow.
There is also a drawing competition throughout the week and creative activities for children hosted by event sponsors Visual Print and Design.
Children aged 4-12 years are challenged to draw their favourite place in Lincoln for a chance to win goodie bags and more, with 3 prizes available awarded to age groups, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 years.
Lincoln Sausage Festival organiser, Past President and Member of the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, Mark Brewer said: “We are delighted to be able to host the event digitally this October in association with Visit Lincoln and Taste Lincolnshire.
“We have even got a very special announcement from Mr & Mrs Sausage to watch out for.
“It seems they have been very busy during lockdown preparing for the 2021 festival.
“While you won’t be able to enjoy a day of free samples and live entertainment, we do hope you have fun exploring the festival virtually this year, celebrating our fantastic and local producers and finding where to shop local this autumn.”
