Lincolnshire-based Nicholsons Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors has appointed Laura Reilly, Head of HR and Compliance, as a Director after receiving approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
Laura joined Nicholsons in September 2019 as HR and Compliance Manager, and since then moved into her current role of Head of HR and Compliance.
During this time Laura has become a Chartered CIPD member, achieved Fellowship of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and has partially qualified as an Employment Lawyer.
A HR generalist, Laura’s specialisms are employment law, employee relations and recruitment across the public, private and non-profit sector.
“I am proud to accept my appointment into a director position, and particularly after such a challenging year.”
“For me, this directorship will allow me to add value and strategic input at the most senior level, on many of the important and pressing people matters within the business.
“After achieving Fellowship status with the Institute of Leadership and Management last year, my appointment allows me to further influence and shape the people agenda for our business and that of our clients, who are safe in the knowledge that they are being provided with qualified, expert support in leadership, HR and employment matters.”
Richard Hallsworth, Chartered Accountant and Director at Nicholsons said: “Since joining us Laura has been like a breath of fresh air, helping us refine our HR policies but also putting together two plans around employee engagement as well as training, learning and development that are driving our business forward.
“Laura has also played an important role in guiding the business through the pandemic and we’re absolutely delighted that she is now a Director.”
