New kitchen retailer store in Stamford

Kitchen retailer Kutchenhaus has opened a store in Stamford on the High Street this month.

The store, at 19 High Street in St Martins, opened its doors earlier this week on April 12.

The showroom will serve customers across a 30-mile radius of Stamford, including parts of Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland and other surrounding areas.

Boasting 1,000 square foot of retail space, the Stamford store will employ five members of staff in customer services and kitchen design, with plans to recruit designers and apprentices for the installation team.

Kutchenhaus is owned by Nobilia, one of Europe’s largest kitchen manufacturers, providing stylish, German-designed ranges.

The new showroom will provide virtual appointments and use its new online 3D planning and design tool to create kitchens remotely for local customers that do not wish to visit the store.

Stuart Hendry, business owner of Kutchenhaus in Stamford, commented: “I can’t imagine many retailers have opened a new store during a global pandemic, however we’ve managed to overcome all the odds, even harnessing the latest technology to begin trading.

“The showroom has taken two months to completely transform after delays due to lockdowns, but we are a strong team with drive and ambition so feel that this has brought us closer together, and we are looking forward to meeting shoppers in April to introduce them to our ranges.

“We have a number of unique concept displays that show full kitchens, media centres, utility rooms, office and bathroom furniture.”

“Stamford is a picturesque town with lots of history and after visiting multiple times we decided this was the place we needed to set up a showroom.

“We feel that we can add something new to the portfolio of kitchen retailers in the town, providing customers in the area a hub in order to see what the industry has to offer without the headache of having to travel all over the place.”

Sean Ford, national head of sales and operations for Kutchenhaus, said: “Kutchenhaus is on an ambitious growth path over the next 2-3 years, however being in the grip of a global pandemic has certainly presented some challenges and even positively altered the way we do business in some cases.

“It is therefore extremely satisfying that Stuart, Siobhann and their team are now in a position to be able to open their store in Stamford in some capacity and offer local customers the opportunity to plan and design their dream kitchen.

“We are very excited to be part of the new showroom opening in Stamford, a community we believe is in a good vibrant location and is connected well to the surrounding areas.

“The new store will no doubt offer an engaging store environment and deliver a high-quality product, a market opportunity which we know is currently in high demand. We wish the team all the best and can’t wait to see their future success.”
