Banks Long & Co launch new programme for graduates

This story is over

Property consultants and chartered surveyors, Banks Long & Co, have launched a new graduate training programme this week focused on bringing new talent into the organisation.

The programme, delivered by Banks Long & Co’s experienced team of consultants and surveyors, will provide practical experience and training within Building & Cost Consultancy, Development & Investment Consultancy, Management & Professional Services and Commercial Property Agency.

Over the course of the 2 year programme, graduates rotate between each division of the organisation, obtaining valuable experience prior to taking their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and gaining RICS accreditation.

The programme has initially launched with 3 graduates taking part in the scheme, but will soon expand to support the growth of more candidates.

Banks Long & Co Director, James Butcher, says, “The new scheme is intended to widen the  experience of the graduates that join our team. It will support keeping talented young  professionals within Lincolnshire and put them in a strong position to progress their career”.

“Within the last 6 months alone we have added 4 new surveyors to our team and will need to recruit many more to fulfil our long term vision for the organisation. The new graduate programme will provide the high calibre of people that we need to deliver this growth strategy.”

Will Nuttall, University of Lincoln graduate and one of the first employees to take part in the  scheme, says, “Banks Long & Co have provided myself and the other graduates with a clear  structured pathway to fast-track our career development.

Working alongside, and being mentored, by a skilled team who have many years of experience is invaluable. This programme has allowed me to stay in Lincoln to continue my professional development rather than looking further afield outside of the county.”
